The information we collect depends on the features you use.

Account and Device Information

When you create or use a Linjoy account, we may collect information such as:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Authentication provider identifiers
• Account preferences
• Native and learning language selections
• Language proficiency information
• Your time zone

We use time zone information to provide time-based features such as journal day boundaries, streak calculations, reminders, and other localized functionality.

If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive only the account information made available by that provider and necessary to create or authenticate your Linjoy account.

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

User Content

When you use Linjoy, you may provide content such as:

• Journal entries
• Written responses
• Messages and questions
• Vocabulary and language-learning content
• Speaking responses
• Transcriptions
• Answers to exercises and quizzes

This content is used to provide Linjoy's language-learning features, including writing analysis, corrections, explanations, exercises, conversations, speaking practice, and personalized learning activities.

Voice and Audio Data

When you choose to use voice-based features, Linjoy temporarily processes the audio recording you submit.

The audio file is transmitted through OpenRouter to a third-party model provider, such as Google, for transcription and language-processing purposes.

Linjoy does not permanently store submitted audio recordings.

After the audio has been processed, Linjoy receives a transcription. The resulting text may then be used to provide features such as speaking analysis, corrections, feedback, and other language-learning activities.

Learning and Progress Data

We may store information generated through your use of Linjoy, including:

• Writing analysis results
• Corrections and suggestions
• Learning progress
• Vocabulary
• Completed exercises
• Streak information
• Scenario progress
• Language-learning preferences

This information allows Linjoy to provide personalized learning features and preserve your progress across sessions and devices.

Subscription Information

If you purchase a Linjoy Pro subscription, we may receive information about your subscription status, product entitlement, renewal status, and related transaction identifiers.

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and access to paid features.

We use information collected through Linjoy to:

• Create and authenticate your account
• Provide and operate Linjoy
• Provide time-based and localized features, including journal day boundaries, streaks, and reminders
• Analyze your writing and language use
• Generate corrections, explanations, exercises, and learning activities
• Provide transcription and speaking-related features
• Personalize your learning experience
• Save and synchronize your learning progress
• Manage subscriptions and premium access
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service
• Diagnose technical problems
• Respond to support requests
• Prevent misuse, fraud, or abuse
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising.

Linjoy does not display third-party advertisements.

We do not sell your personal information.

Some Linjoy features require automated language processing.

To provide these features, content you submit may be transmitted through OpenRouter, which routes requests to third-party model providers.

Depending on the feature and the model being used, these providers may include:

• xAI

Content processed through these services may include:

• Journal entries
• Messages
• Written responses
• Transcriptions
• Language-learning prompts and context
• Audio recordings submitted through voice-based features

This processing is performed in order to provide features such as:

• Writing analysis
• Grammar and vocabulary corrections
• Explanations
• Personalized exercises and quizzes
• Language assistance
• Speaking practice
• Transcription
• Feedback and other language-learning functionality

Linjoy does not send user content to these providers for advertising purposes.

Third-party providers process information subject to their own contractual obligations, security practices, and applicable privacy policies.

Linjoy relies on third-party services to operate certain parts of the application.

These may include:

Authentication

Apple Used to provide Sign in with Apple.

Google Used to provide Google authentication.

Subscription Management

Apple App Store Processes purchases and subscriptions made on Apple devices.

Google Play Processes purchases and subscriptions made on Android devices.

RevenueCat Used to manage subscription status, purchases, and access to premium features.

Language Processing

OpenRouter Used to route requests to language-processing model providers.

Model providers accessed through OpenRouter may include:

• Google
• xAI

These providers receive only the information necessary to perform the requested functionality.

We require service providers handling user information on our behalf to process that information for the relevant service and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

Linjoy retains account information, journal content, learning progress, and other stored user content for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the service.

Audio Recordings

Audio recordings submitted through voice features are not permanently stored by Linjoy.

They are transmitted for processing and are not retained by Linjoy after the audio-processing operation is completed.

The resulting transcription may be stored or processed as text where necessary to provide the requested learning feature or preserve relevant learning progress.

Account Data

When you delete your Linjoy account, information associated with your account is deleted from Linjoy's active systems, except where limited information must be retained for legitimate purposes such as:

• Legal obligations
• Accounting or tax requirements
• Fraud prevention
• Security
• Resolving disputes
• Enforcing agreements

Any information retained for these purposes will be kept only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose.

Subscription transaction records may also remain available through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other payment-related providers according to their own legal and retention requirements.

You may delete your Linjoy account using the account deletion option available within the Linjoy application.

Deleting the app from your device does not delete your Linjoy account.

When an account deletion request is completed, Linjoy deletes the personal data associated with the account from its active systems unless retention is required for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reason.

Deleting your Linjoy account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Subscriptions must be managed or canceled separately through the store through which the subscription was purchased.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by Linjoy.

Information transmitted between Linjoy and its servers or service providers is protected in transit using encrypted network connections such as HTTPS/TLS.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Linjoy is operated from Türkiye.

Some service providers used by Linjoy may process information in other countries.

As a result, information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you live.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Request access to your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a copy of certain information
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

Linjoy is a general-audience language-learning service and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

Where parental or guardian consent is required by applicable law for a user to provide personal information or use an online service, that consent must be obtained before using Linjoy.

If you believe that personal information belonging to a child has been collected inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Linjoy, our service providers, applicable laws, or our data-processing practices.

When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the application, website, or another appropriate method.

The date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was most recently updated.
